Centro - arte Cabbiolo Humanita

Hill/level ground With restaurant 1 star hotel Amico del Viandante

Nature and art form the backdrop for our Cabbiolo art centre. Here you will discover an oasis of peace and quiet, surrounded by lush vegetation. The spacious rooms, each individually furnished, are located in traditional stone houses typical of the Mesolcino valley, all of which have been modernised, and in a wooden pavilion. We serve meals prepared using local organic products in season. The buffet breakfast includes a varied selection of homemade organic bread and jams and tisanes made from home-grown herbs. Trekkers please note that Switzerland operates an air ambulance service; you may also subscribe to this service online.

Ristorante affittacamere La Bola - Monte Laura

Mountain With restaurant Farm house Amico del Viandante

The restaurant is situated in the little village of Monte Laura (11 km from Roveredo), which has about a hundred houses and no electricity supply. It is only inhabited in the summer months. Set in a scenic spot, it is a favourite with walkers and cyclists. The home-cooked food and family atmosphere add a special touch to this peaceful retreat. Because there is no electricity, people come here to escape the electronic smog to which they are exposed every day, and unwind in the tranquillity and beauty of these surroundings. Trekkers should know that Switzerland operates an air ambulance service.

The monastery is in a scenic position in the middle of the Mount Barro Park and SCI (Site of Community Importance), famous for its rich flora. Recently renovated, it now houses a hostel, bar-restaurant, the "Centro Visitatori G.Panzeri' (G. Panzeri Visitors? Centre) and the 'Museo Archeologico del Barro' (Barro Archaeological Museum).
